The Novoclimat program has been in existence for more than twenty years and consists of financial assistance for individuals who wish to purchase a new permanent home with high energy efficiency.  A Novoclimat home allows you to save 20% on your energy bill, in addition to guaranteeing greater comfort for all occupants.

Heat pumps now eligible for the Novoclimat subsidy

As of January 1, 2021, a new feature will be added to the Novoclimat program. You can now benefit from financial assistance for the purchase of a heat pump. Which buildings are eligible for the Novoclimat subsidy?

House: Single-family houses (detached, semi-detached, row houses), bi-generation or single-family homes with an attached house.

Small multi-unit buildings: buildings of three floors or less and 600 m² or less.

How much can I get with the Novoclimat program?

For a single-family home, you can get up to $2,000 in financing. However, be sure to review the eligibility criteria for your home before applying for the subsidy.

If you’re a first-time homebuyer, you may be eligible for an additional $2,000 in financial assistance, for a possible total of $4,000.
