Did you know that, as of December 31, 2021, the installation of oil heating systems (furnace, boiler) in new construction is prohibited? What’s more, as of December 31, 2023, it will also be forbidden to replace your current oil-fired heating system with a newer model.

With the rising price of oil and the new measures in effect, it might be time to consider replacing your oil heating system with a wall-mounted or central heat pump. What are the benefits of replacing your oil furnace with a heat pump?

Although oil furnaces have long been considered efficient, they release large quantities of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Moreover, they represent a danger of explosion and toxic leakage, as well as carbon monoxide poisoning.

Here are the benefits of replacing your oil heating system with a heat pump:

• Ecological: Choosing electricity for your heating is an eco-responsible gesture. The production, transportation and use of heating oil are major contributors to greenhouse gas emissions. Electricity, a clean energy source, is at your fingertips.

Finally, it will be impossible for Tran Climatisation to repair furnaces over 20 years old and water heaters over 10 years old after this date.
