What is a thermostat?
Generally, a thermostat is a small box with a digital screen or a graduated wheel that can be turned. The display or the dial allows you to program or set the desired temperature (air conditioning or heating) with precision. Once the desired temperature is set, the thermostat controls the room temperature.
What types of thermostats are available on the market?
- Programmable Thermostat: A programmable thermostat is a thermostat that can control the heating and cooling equipment in your home according to a pre-set program. For example, a programmable thermostat can be set to maintain a home temperature of 22 degrees throughout the day, and 18 degrees between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. each night.
