Main tasks of the insulator (hot and cold) :

• Read and interpret drawings and technical specifications to determine the quantity and quality of insulation materials required;
• Measure and cut insulating materials to required lengths, using hand or power tools;
• Apply and secure insulation by the following methods: spraying, blowing, gluing, taping or other application and installation methods;
• Place insulation around obstacles and between beams and braces;
• Apply waterproof cement to insulation materials at the time of surfacing.

Formation and certification:

High school diploma required, PSD (Professional studies diploma) in insulation.

Years of experience:

3 to 5 years of experience. However, we offer the possibility of on-the-job training for students in training.
