As of December 31, 2021, the installation of oil-fired heating systems in new construction has become prohibited. Moreover, from December 31, 2023, it will also be forbidden to replace an existing oil-fired heating system with another of the same type.

Repairs to furnaces over 20 years old and water heaters over 10 years old will also be prohibited.
