What can I do to solve the problem?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The hottest day of the summer is not the time for your heat pump to stop working. You inspect your heat pump and notice that it is frozen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, this is a common problem that can occur even in the summer. There are a number of things that can create frost on your heat pump, specifically on the outdoor unit (compressor).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here are some explanations that may help you better understand this phenomenon:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reversible valve malfunction<\/li><li>Leak or lack of refrigerant gas<\/li><li>Malfunction of the fan in the ventilation cabinet<\/li><li>Defrost card defective<\/li><li>Defrost sensor defective<\/li><li>Dirty or clogged filters<\/li><li>Outdoor coil clogged with debris<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to do if your heat pump is frozen:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>When you notice that your heat pump compressor is frozen, turn it off and let it thaw completely.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>When your heat pump compressor is completely thawed, check the airflow and clean and\/or replace the filters. This may partially solve your icing problem.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If freezing problems continue, even after cleaning and replacing your filters, call a professional right away. Freon leaks, larger air leaks or other problems require professional attention. Do not attempt to do the repair yourself.
